Third party CERTIFIRE fire rated to BS 476 Part 22 for stainless steel covers. Fire rated for 2 hours on integrity, and up to 2 hours on insulation depending on the floor access cover fill specification.

Load rating 6.5 tonnes FACTA C supplied as standard or 11.5 tonnes FACTA D (equivalent to D400) available on request, to meet project requirements.

Double sealed option provides the highest levels of hygiene and security.

All types of hard floor finish - ceramic tiles, marble, terrazzo, concrete, resin, wood or parquet floors.

PERFORMANCE

Heavy-duty, suitable for up to  11.5 tonne pneumatic tyre wheel load.

FIRE RATING

The 1050 Series is third party CERTIFIRE tested and fire rated to BS 476 Part 22 for 2 hours on integrity in the case of a fire. This specification is for the use of the cover in a dead load environment only. If any permanent loads are applied this will invalidate the fire rating. CERTIFIRE certificate no. CF5967 

SINGLE: maximum size 1030 mm x 1030 mm, clear opening 900 mm x 900 mm

DUCT: maximum width 1030 mm, clear opening 900 mm with an unlimited duct run length

• With full C40 concrete infill: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity and 2 hours for insulation
• With stone, tile or other non-combustible surface finish: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity only

MULTIPART: maximum size 4m x 3m overall  

• With full C40 concrete infill: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity and 1 hour for insulation
• With stone, tile or other non-combustible surface finish: fire rated for 2 hours on integrity only

SUITABILITY

The 1050 Series Floor Access Cover from Howe Green is the first choice for demanding external and internal environments subject to heavy pedestrian or vehicular traffic where the emphasis on creating an attractive public realm is at the heart of the development and easy access is required to concealed underfloor services.

External and internal areas that require a Floor Access Cover with a deeper capacity to accommodate a thicker floor covering, such as granite.

The use of support beams and cross members enables complex designs to be manufactured to accommodate situations where a non-standard access solution is required.

We manufacture Floor Access Covers, Edge Trims and Corner Guards quickly and easily to your exact size/configuration or special purpose requirements using CAD and C.N.C machinery at our manufacturing facility in the West Midlands.
