Howe Green mighty fine for Loch Fyne

Whether it be for the building of a new restaurant, hiring of staff or cooking the food, the UK’s best known seafood restaurants always insist on doing it to the best standard possible. No wonder they chose floor access covers from Howe Green for one of the newest restaurants in the chain.

Mighty Fine For Loch FyneLoch Fyne Restaurants are renowned for their superb seafood and shellfish. Each is very individual and, in Knutsford Cheshire, the restaurant is housed in a Grade II listed Royal George building on King Street, which has been sympathetically restored to create a stunning dining venue, with striking architecture that cleverly combines jaw-dropping good looks with a warm and inviting ambience.

As part of the extensive restoration project, contractor A & J Interiors specified 4 aluminium floor covers from Howe Green’s 5000 series to unobtrusively cover all the kitchen’s essential mains services yet maintain easy and fast access to them when required.

Blending in seamlessly, Howe Green’s access covers can be fitted quickly into all types of hard floor finish. Fitting perfectly flush with their surround, they avoid distortion and prevent any slips or trips – essential with the heavy pedestrian traffic in a busy kitchen.

As the highest possible standards of hygiene and security are required in Loch Fyne’s kitchen environment, Howe Green’s aluminium floor access covers fitted the bill perfectly, with no fasteners to rust or break, and remaining corrosion and maintenance-free over their lifetime.

Top edge and double-seals on the aluminium covers help to prevent water or bacteria ingress and using Howe Green’s patented system, they can be manufactured to a range of bespoke sizes and dimensions at no extra cost.

Each cover is available with a choice of aluminium or brass show edge and matching lifting blocks, or with Colouredge high impact PVC edges with aluminium lifting blocks and with a 1 hour fire rating to BS476:Part 20:1987.

The number of Loch Fyne restaurants in the UK has grown to 40, since 1998, and the company now employs over 1200 staff working in sites as far apart as Bath and Newcastle, Poole and Edinburgh.

Using sustainable fishing, artisanal supply and non-destructive fishing practices, the company is justly proud of its commitment to independent producers, and this ethos was followed right through when it came to choosing Howe Green as the preferred supplier for their aluminium floor access panels.
