Visedge Series - Aluminium Floor Access Covers For Flexible Floors
The development of a product for flexible flooring systems began 12 years ago when Altro, the flooring and wall-cladding specialist, highlighted a specific need. We responded immediately, working closely with them at every stage and our Visedge Series was launched just 6 months later.
We pride ourselves on our ability and willingness to listen to our customers’ needs and to design and engineer bespoke solutions. Visedge is one of our most successful examples and has since become the first choice for building services professionals worldwide.
Visedge Series covers are suitable in a wide range of demanding environments and have proven longevity in highly trafficked areas. Designed for use singly, in continuous runs as duct covers or over large areas as a multipart cover, Visedge can be fitted quickly and unobtrusively. The covers are double-sealed to meet the highest standards of hygiene and security and are also corrosion and maintenance-free.
Unlike similar products, the Visedge Series allows the sheet flooring, including PVC, linoleum and rubber to be locked to the frame sections and with PVC specifically, it can also be hot welded to the surface rather than glued. This creates a permanent joint and eliminates any possible water ingress and peeling which can cause a health and safety hazard.
Visedge has been the cover of choice in a diverse range of projects, the most recent of which include the restaurant refurbishment at the prestigious Goodwood Racecourse in Chichester, West Sussex; Romford’s new state-of-the-art 939-bed Queen’s Hospital, and the brand new campus at Westminster College due to open early next year.
* Visedge Series covers are suitable for all types of flexible sheet flooring, e.g. PVC or linoleum.
* The PVC extrusion is locked to the frame sections, and bonded and welded to the cut edge of the sheet flooring, forming an impermeable, flat, hygienic and permanent joint.
* The aluminium and stainless steel construction is tough, light and non-rusting.
* Crimped corners allow the cover and frame to lie completely flat.
* The unique Howe Green double seal construction forms the most positive seal to drainage, electrical and other ducts.
* Any size is available for single covers or duct layouts.
* Quality control to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
